Home of the\u00a0<strong><em>Nishikigoi<\/em><\/strong><em>,<\/em>\u00a0the literal translation being\u00a0<strong>brocade carp<\/strong>, is Japan. There the insect eaters are bred as edible fish, and at the end of the 18th century were also kept as status symbols by the peers. Their\u00a0<strong>blaze of colour<\/strong>\u00a0makes them a special feast for the eyes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"swift-in-viewport\">As a passionate diver<a href=\"https:\/\/www.petra-stelzmueller.at\/en\/about-me\/\"><strong>\u00a0Petra Stelzm\u00fcller<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0has already encountered KOI fish at eye level. The abysmal depth of the sea and the weightless gliding of its inhabitants is simply mesmerizing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"swift-in-viewport\">6 years ago and along the\u00a0<em>design-process<\/em>\u00a0<em>Petra Stelzm\u00fcller<\/em>\u00a0painted an oil (100*70 cm), reinterpreting the\u00a0<strong>KOI-subject<\/strong>, giving the fish special colour force and dynamics and staging all perfectly in front of a deep purple background.<\/p>\n<p class=\"swift-in-viewport\">The classy\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.petra-stelzmueller.at\/en\/designshop\/accessoires-en\/koi-apron\/\"><strong><em>chef\u2019s apron<\/em><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0with multicoloured straps, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.petra-stelzmueller.at\/en\/designshop\/accessoires-en\/board-koi-fishes\/\"><strong><em>cutting board<\/em><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0for sushi, maki and other preparations as well as the\u00a0<strong><em>t-shirts<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0made of bio-cotton are stylish ingredients for\u00a0<strong>Japan-devotees<\/strong>\u00a0and people with exquisite taste.
