{"id":6582,"date":"2019-11-14T13:36:39","date_gmt":"2019-11-14T12:36:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.petra-stelzmueller.at\/stories\/echt-graz-einkaufstasche\/"},"modified":"2021-09-29T19:56:47","modified_gmt":"2021-09-29T17:56:47","slug":"echt-graz-tote-bags-conceptual-idea","status":"publish","type":"stories","link":"https:\/\/www.petra-stelzmueller.at\/en\/stories\/echt-graz-tote-bags-conceptual-idea\/","title":{"rendered":"ECHT GRAZ BAG"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"swift-in-viewport\"><strong>2nd AUDIENCE AWARD<br \/>\nConceptual idea<br \/>\n<\/strong>The initial situation was the Creative Industries Styria\u00a0<strong>CIS\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0open\u00a0<strong>design contest<\/strong>\u00a0of \u201edesigning a\u00a0<strong>shopping bag<\/strong>\u201c for the shops of the inner city of Graz.<br \/>\nThe business initiative \u201eEcht Graz\u201c wanted to set a signal clearly pointing to the\u00a0<strong>UNESCO City of Design Graz<\/strong>. By means of an extraverted common sales action individual enterprises should be vitalized.<br \/>\nPremium design quality suitable for the mass should serve as an independent embassador for the\u00a0<strong>Echt Graz<\/strong>\u00a0initiative while emphasizing cooperative businesses. The bag\u2019s format was free to choose; sustainable and environment-sparing production was obligatory.<\/p>\n<p class=\"swift-in-viewport\">Following ideas preceded my design:<br \/>\nI dealt with size first and after some research found out, that bags capable of holding A4 format were used the most. It was supposed to be a washable certified cotton bag with a print accordingly, produced in a neutral colour which would be\u00a0<strong>black<\/strong>. To locate the bag, I used the word\u00a0<strong>Graz\u00a0<\/strong>itself, but hid it behind white lines in order to draw attention to the now crossed-out word \u201eGraz\u201c \u2014 meanwhile the\u00a0<strong>BIG PLAYER<\/strong>.
